Why Arcadia Chamber Players?

Arcadia, a mountainous region in central Greece, is located in central Peloponnesus. A pastoral idyll of shepherds and nymphs in romantic poetry, Arcadia was appropriately the birthplace of the shepherd god Pan, whose mother was a nymph. This land, rich of nectar and ambrosia, is a divine place. Hundreds of legendary persons, myths and traditions have been born and created in this land. Most of the gods of Olympus were born and lived here, weaving endless divine love stories, full of hate and passion. We selected this name because of it's association with music, classicism, and pastoralism.

We are always looking for quality repertoire, new or old, for the instrumentation of flute, clarinet, cello and piano.
